Hello,

This is the thrid time i post this problem, i hope i'll get some response this time.

I was hoping patch 4.0.6 would fix it, but no.

When ever i enter an instance i get a sound, this has resulted in me playing with all sounds muted(for over two months now). Now i dont get the full gaming experience and dont hear DBM warnings.

The soundbugs are:

  • fighting sounds while i'm not in combat
  • ghoslty whispering sound, think its the sound when ur corpse running. When u hear it a whole run u'll get paranoid, wet ur pants and will sit feared in a corner of ur room crying for help.
  • Please tell me how i can fix it, i would like to play with me sound on again.

I run WoW on windows XP, Game Sound output: Realtek HD audio output.

    Thank you in advance

    Hi,

As your using add–ons, make sure that you've removed all of them while testing. With the game closed down locate and delete the Interface folder.

Restart the game then test to see if you still get these sounds.

If you do then please tell me more about your used sound card and settings.

    1) Click on the Start button, then select the Run option

    2) Type dxdiag into the run box

    3) You may get a message from the program about your drivers, this is fine just allow it.

    4) Locate and select the tab named Sound.

    5) Once in the Sound tab locate the sections named Device and Drivers

    6) Please give us the Name of that device, and the Version and Date of the drivers installed.

    7) Indicate at what level the Hardware Acceleration Level is at.

Please also post the contents of the Sound.log file, this file can be located within the \Logs folder of the World of Warcraft directory on your harddisk.

    Hi,

Try turning down your sound channels to 32, instead of 64.

Let us know how it goes when your add–ons are removed.
