Hi,

What have you tried exactly if you've tried everything.

This error message appears when something is blocking the launcher from checking for patching updates, this can occur if you are behind a proxy, IE is set as off–line or a firewall of sercurity program is blocking the update check.

Can you go into Internet Explorer > Tools > Internet Options> Connections> LAN settings and make sure that you Select Automatically Detect settings.

Also make sure that you have Use Automatic configuration Script and Use a Proxy server not checked.
