Howdy all,

Computer Specs…

I7930 boosted to stage 2 Via Easy tune witch come's with the motherboard

6 gig Coresare Ram (unsure on specs)

1.5TB WDx2 running in raid 0 Via windows matrix manager

Nvidia GTS250 x2 Sli mode

Windows 7 64 bit

Im trying to work out how to set up my GC's to run best with wow, but ive never had to modify them before. These cards are running upgraded cooling fans and are at stock clocked speeds.

This is how they run now…

Note:Vsync–OFF

In SW while there's quite a few people around ill average around 35–45FPS

Flying around to FP's 100–160FPS

25 Man raid's during intense fights 24–30FPS WTF?? ill expand on this a bit.

I heal in our raids and during graphic intensive parts of fights and i go to cast an instant spell it may take 2–5 seconds for the spell to actually cast in that time everyone starts moving in the same spot then everything will go fast forward and catch up.

I also had this issue in 5 mans for a short time then it just dissapeared.

I would like to think that my system specs are more than adequate to run my game on max res and graphics although i have shadows on the lowest, AAx4,MSx4.

During 25Man raiding it quite depressing seeing my fps drop so low with what i think is a damm good system for this game.

Lag is usually around 250 home and between 300–500 world (Australia,IINET)

Could i get some advice on the best setup for SLI mode (Settings, ect)

If you need anymore info please let me know im sure ive missed somthing

Certaindeath,

I'll need to see your dxdiag info first.

You can generate your dxdiag info by using the Direct X Diagnostic Tool:

Click on Start

Click on Run

Type in: dxdiag (In Vista, type dxdiag in the search field)

Hit Enter or OK

Click on the Save All Information button at the bottom, and create a dxdiag text file, and copy and paste it all here.

You might want to first get rid of any addons you're using temporarily, for testing purposes.

You can do that temporarily and not lose any customization you've done.

With the game closed please rename your WTF folder to WTF.bak and INTERFACE folder to INTERFACE.bak. Delete the Cache folder entirely. These hold setting info and temporary cache files that will be recreated by the game the next time you launch. Renaming them allows you to rename them back later if this step doesn't resolve anything.

NOTE: Please also make sure to remove any and all addon auto–installers or auto–updaters you may have, as those can automatically reinstall addons for you, possibly causing further issues.

Now start the game up again, agree to the TOU and set your resolution. See if the issue is still there. If it is, none of this helped and you can put it back like it was by exiting, deleting the newly created WTF and Interface folders, and renaming the.bak ones back to their original names.

But if the issue is fixed, it means it was a setting or addon most likely

Certaindeath,

One of the issues people have reported with the 266.58 release is lowered frame rates. Personally, I just crash with them so I'm not using them, but it's your choice if you want to keep them.

Try disabling SLI and see if the problem remains. Check the temperatures of the cards while playing too. You can use HWMonitor from http://www.cpuid.com/downloads/hwmonitor/1.16-setup.exe

Certaindeath,

You need to find out if it's an addon or not first. We don't make or support them and can't help if one's causing a problem. As long as they're enabled, they're suspect, so we ask they be removed while troubleshooting. I'm not suggesting you have to keep it that way.
