Currently playing on school internet in a dorm, sitting right next to a friend who is in my raid. Probably three or four times per boss encounter I will experience an eight second lag spike while my room mate has almost flawless latency. I have recently replaced my computer (and had this same exact problem with the last computer), have tried using a new Ethernet cable and have tried swapping wall ports with my room mate. Currently I can play any other game without any lag as well, only WoW has these terrible spikes (as well as an average server latency of around 350 ms).

My current motherboard is as follows:

ASUS M4A89TD

Running Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit

Is there anything that can be done? My room mate hasn't changed any internet settings or wow settings and neither have I.

If you have switched systems and cables as well as ports and are still having this issue, I would suggest that you look to the addons as potential culprits. There are a number of raid–related addons that have caused this in the past.
