Just installed SP1 from windows update. Restarted, etc, and straight crash when trying to start the game via the Launcher. Anyone else running into this since updating to SP1?

Squidshock,

That just means it's not a Wow crash, or not one that the game can log.

The Win 7 Service pack is really just a compilation of all the previous updates they've released. If you let it overwrite any drivers if it includes any, it might cause an issue. I haven't installed it yet as it hadn't been pushed to Windows Update yet when I checked this morning. I've installed updates all along though so I don't expect the SP to do much of anything for me.

Can you post your dxdiag info please?

You can generate your dxdiag info by using the Direct X Diagnostic Tool:

Click on Start

Click on Run

Type in: dxdiag (In Vista, type dxdiag in the search field)

Hit Enter or OK

Click on the Save All Information button at the bottom, and create a dxdiag text file, and copy and paste it all here.

Squidshock,

Nothing looks out of place in there really. Video drivers are new, however we're actually recommending people use the slightly older 260.99 release as 266.58 is being reported to us as being unstable.

You might check the Event Viewer under Administrative Tools and see if you get any hints as to what crashed.

It's looking like EVGA's Precision utility may be the cause for the Win 7 SP 1 breaking games. EVGA' forums are giving me errors when trying to access them right now, but that's where you should check later when they're back up.
